We’re grabbin’ fools now!

So following on from our last update where we implemented a better state method, we can now easily implement different combos and, in turn, combo systems; starting with grab combos.

After grappling an enemy when close enough to them, you can now give them a quick couple of knees to the groan and a headbutt – perfect for some quick damage. You can, however, be knocked out of this if the enemy decides to attack you, so grapple wisely!

Our regular combos got an update too – As well as turning up the speed on the punch combo for that meatier feel, we’ve got a little kick combo in there too! More to come!

What’s next?

At the moment, we’re allowing the player to keep hitting the enemy until they die (without much breaking out of the stun), so we’re looking into a nice “knockdown” system for our next update where the enemy is… well, knocked down. This allows not only for the enemy/player to take a breather, but also adds more feeling of power behind those hits as the enemy will be flung away from the blow.
